The Seaforth Centenaires are a hockey team that participates in the Senior AA League (Southern Division) that is governed by the Western Ontario Athletic Association (WOAA). The home centre for the team is in the municipality of Huron East with their 2019/20 home games being played at the Seaforth & District Community Centres. The franchise was relocated to Seaforth from Goderich (formerly the Goderich Pirates) in June of 2014 and the team name (“Centenaires”) is a resurrection of the former Junior D hockey team that was based in Seaforth from 1974 – 2002.
The organization is a non-profit corporation (Huron East Senior Hockey Club) and is funded by generous community sponsorship as well as in-game revenue.
Mission:The goal of the organization is to provide entertainment for all ages by commitment to on-ice competitiveness bWe are making all the plans for what should be another great season of Senior hockey. Special dates include a banner raising on Saturday October 22 (also a 7:30PM start), and the Cents will be hosting a Derek Nesbitt night on Friday December 30th (8:30PM start).
