Clinton Radars come to town!
This weekend the Clinton Radars come to town to play the Huron East Centenaires!
The Cents are riding high after a win this past weekend against the Milverton Drives. The message from the coaches was clear - every game was important and the team needed to find ways to win.
"I think we play good in our arena. We take a lot of pride in playing well here at home in front of our fans." said Coach Mark Wilson. The team has played well at home with several wins and the few loses hard fought games. "It is something I like, I like when a team is tough to beat at home and we are. That being said, we need to bring that intensity level on the road."
One game which is not hard to get up for is this weekend when the Clinton Radars arrive in town. The Radars have been the class of the league the past couple seasons but players on both sides agree that being a few miles apart adds a bit more to the game. "The Radars games are fun." said Captain Mark VanDooren. VanDooren had time with Radars several years ago before returning to the Centenaires. "You saw it at the first game, a lot of Clinton fans came out to support their team. Some wearing old jerseys in the stands because Radars have been a part of the town for a lot of years. But you can feel that pride here in Seaforth. Fans here in town are really getting behind us and it makes it a lot of fun for everyone. It is easy to get excited for games like this weekend."
The two teams meet up Saturday for the 730pm game. A can food drive is part of the Saturday night. The area food bank and the families that benefit from it need your support this time of year. A can drop off area will be at the door to help make Christmas a little easier for families in the area.
