This weekend is (stop us if you heard this before) a big weekend. Check out this weeks hot takes!
Centenaires welcome the Saugeen Winterhawks this Saturday in Seaforth. It is the first time they meet up this season.
It is all about the finish! Centenaires are undefeated in 3rd periods this season.
Seaforth's Barry Young stepped behind the bench this weekend with Chris Reeves, Tom R Turner and Andrew VanVliet. It was Younger first game on the bench in senior hockey.
Age doesn't matter! There is much talk about Centenaires veteran Mark Van Dorren being.... a veteran. Winterhawks have their own veteran showing the kids how it is done. Saugeen Shores points leader (on a very good team) is 39 year old Brent McDermid. 14point in 11 games. McDermid leads the Hawks into Seaforth this weekend.
Watch out for Theo Peckham this weekend. The defensemen patrolled the Edmonton Oilers blue line and now is a force to be reckoned with for Saugeen. After a year away, Peckham is back with the Winterhawks.
Let us know if your group wishes to do a fundraiser any game! Chuck a puck opportunity is available to any group in our community wanting to raise money.
Don't look now but things are getting tight at the top. Cents sit in 5th place, 5 points back of first. Ripley and Saugeen are tied with 20 points, Shelburne and Clinton with 18 points and Seaforth with 15 points. Things are tightened up at the top.
Centenaires goalie Jesse Raymond is leading the lead in GAA1.67 SV% 93.98%
Game time is 730pm in Seaforth this Saturday (December 7th. 2019). Make sure you get out and support the Cents.
